Agreement on educational exchange concluded with Kanagawa Prefectural Tsukui High School | NEWS | Kanagawa Institute of Technology

September 2, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor Business

A signing ceremony for an educational exchange agreement with Kanagawa Prefectural Tsukui High School was held at our university on August 29th.

At the signing ceremony, Principal Kazuya Kumasaka and President Kazuzo Komiya of Kanagawa Prefectural Tsukui High School signed the agreement and exchanged opinions on future initiatives.

Principal Kumasaka stated his expectations for future collaborative activities, saying, “Our school was founded over 120 years ago and currently offers both general and welfare courses, as well as a part-time program. In the welfare course, we would like to utilize the knowledge you have gained from your research into nursing robots and other equipment that will be introduced in future nursing care settings, and we would like to deepen our exchange with your school through inquiry-based learning activities, including in the general course. We hope that this collaboration will mark a new start for our school.”

President Komiya also said, “We celebrated our 60th anniversary last year, and this year we have reorganized our faculties and departments and made a new start. We would like schools that train care workers to make use of the faculty and educational resources of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and the Department of Information Systems, which is researching care robots, in order to develop human resources who can contribute to the care work, which will be in increasing demand in the future.”
