The two-hour episode featured everything from contortionists to musicians, setting the stage for what promises to be a captivating season. The Got Talent franchise creator Simon Cowell rejoined Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Mel B on the judging panel, with Terry Crews returning as host.
This season emphasizes behind-the-scenes footage, giving viewers a closer look at the contestants’ journeys. The premiere included moments of banter between the judges, including Cowell playfully calling Mel B “Miss kill-the-Mood” after she buzzed an act that the other judges enjoyed. The America’s Got Talent format remains largely unchanged: acts need at least three “yes” votes to advance,and a Golden Buzzer sends an act directly to the final rounds.
