India Launches Probe into air India Crash, Examining Safety Role
Following the devastating crash of Air India Flight AI171, the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced Saturday the formation of a high-level, multi-disciplinary committee. The committee will investigate the tragedy that claimed at least 265 lives. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, en route from Ahmedabad to London’s gatwick Airport, crashed shortly after takeoff on June 12.
