Aviation Handling Services (AHS) Benin Modernizes Fleet with Eco-Friendly Equipment
AHS Benin has acquired state-of-the-art, eco-friendly equipment for airline and passenger services at Cotonou Airport.
The company, which provides aircraft ground handling services at Cardinal Bernardin GANTIN international airport, has invested approximately 800 million CFA francs in the new equipment. This acquisition is part of AHS Benin’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable development.
Composition of Equipment Procured by AHS Benin
- 2 Mercedes Benz brand vehicles for transporting VIP passengers
- 1 Trepel electric push-back tractor to tow conventional aircraft
- 1 Trepel Elevator: 14 tons for cargo unloading
- 1 modern type 3000 Cobus Type 3000 bus for transporting passengers from the aircraft to the terminal and vice versa
- Cargo belt for unloading luggage
- 2 Shantui type electric forklifts 7 T capacity for transporting goods
- 2 GT5D 60 Kwh electric tractors
- 1 Serviced electric toilet
- Electric charger 120 Kw Charger
- Baggage trolley 600 mm high with tarpaulin and storage basket / 2500 Kg
The acquisition of this equipment is a response to the National Carbon Reduction Plan, which requires specific requirements from airport users.
