AI, ethics, and Society: Your Questions Answered
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming our world, raising profound ethical questions. In April 2025, experts convened at Gonzaga university for the “Value and Responsibility in AI Technologies Conference” to discuss thes critical issues. This Q&A distills key insights from the conference and explores the essential intersection of AI, ethics, and society.
What are the primary ethical concerns surrounding AI growth?
Ethical considerations in AI development involve addressing potential risks and ensuring AI systems align with human values. Key concerns include:
Privacy: How do we protect sensitive data when AI systems collect and process vast amounts of data?
Security: Can we safeguard AI systems from malicious attacks and prevent their misuse?
* Fairness: How do we prevent AI algorithms
