A collaborative project uniting the worlds of “Aikatsu!” and “PriPara” is in the works,celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Akari generation of “Aikatsu!,” which began in 2014,and “PriPara.” A new movie, titled “Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE - The Mission of Meets!,” is set to feature an original story and a brand-new live performance.

“Aikatsu!,” an anime series that aired from 2012 to 2016, follows the journey of young girls striving to become top idols at Starlight Academy.The franchise also includes a short theatrical anime series, “Aikatsu! 10th STORY: STARWAY to the Future,” released in 2012, with a special edition featuring a new story released the following year.
“PriPara,” part of the “Pretty Series,” is centered around a dream idol theme park where anyone can become an idol. The anime, which aired for three seasons from 2014 to 2017, focuses on the friendships of girls forming idol teams.
Key Staff Reunite
Takahiro Okawa, who previously worked as an animation director and director on “Aikatsu!,” ”Aikatsu Stars!” and “Aikatsu On Parade!,” will direct the film. Riki Tsuchiya, who oversaw the series composition for “PriPara,” will handle the screenplay. Character designs will be crafted by Hiroko, a creator on “Aikatsu!,” and Masaharu Hara of “PriPara.” Tatsunoko Pro, known for their work on “PriPara,” will manage the 3DCG, while BN Pictures, from “Aikatsu!,” will also contribute.
Akari and Lara Take Center Stage
