It’s time for women in the agriculture sector to step forward.” this sentiment underscores a growing movement to increase female visibility and leadership within Irish farming.

Rigorous Evaluation Process

The FBD Young Farmer of the Year competition aims to identify and celebrate the nation’s most promising young agricultural entrepreneurs. Candidates are evaluated on a diverse range of factors, including innovative farm business practices, operational efficiency, enterprise quality, a strong commitment to farm safety, environmental stewardship, and demonstrated agricultural knowledge. This holistic assessment ensures the winner represents the future of lasting and triumphant farming in Ireland.

The competition serves as a vital platform for recognizing and rewarding the dedication and ingenuity of young farmers, contributing to the continued growth and resilience of the Irish agricultural industry.
