Aileen Sheehan of Whitechurch,County Cork,has made history as the first female recipient of the prestigious FBD Young Farmer of the Year title. The declaration was made at the 27th annual awards ceremony, held recently at the Killashee Hotel in Naas, County Kildare.

Sheehan, a dairy farmer, previously earned recognition at the 2024 Dairygold Milk Quality and Sustainability Awards, demonstrating a consistent commitment to excellence.
