Dhaka, Bangladesh -⁣ A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed onto a school campus in Dhaka shortly after takeoff on Monday, sending shockwaves through the community and leaving dozens of students injured, manny with ‌severe⁢ burns. The ill-fated flight,a routine training mission,took a ‌catastrophic turn when the aircraft plummeted ​onto the premises of a school,igniting a massive fire and causing widespread panic. ⁤Parents, like Jewel, who goes by one name, ⁣rushed to the scene in a desperate search for their children.

“The plane crashed on the building where my‍ daughter was. My wife called me, but I ‌was praying so ‍I ‍could not pick up,” Jewel​ recounted, his voice heavy with ​emotion.”When I came ‌here ‌I saw there was a huge fire. There was a dead body of a child.”

“We fought with the‌ crowd and the soldiers to get close ⁢to the crash site in our school,” said Estiak Elahi Khan, an 11th-grade student. “What I⁢ saw ‍I⁢ can’t describe that… that’s terrible.”

Doctors at Uttara Adhunik Hospital⁢ reported that over 60 students,‍ many between the ages of 12⁣ and 16, were transferred to a specialized hospital ‌for burn ‌victims, highlighting the severity of the ⁢injuries⁣ sustained.

By Monday evening, rescue teams continued their painstaking ⁤efforts, combing through the debris in search of any further victims.A crane was deployed to assist in ​the removal of wreckage,​ a somber testament to the scale of the​ disaster.

Bangladesh’s interim ⁢leader, Muhammad Yunus, expressed his ‍profound ​sorrow over the “heart-breaking accident,” labeling it “a moment of deep national grief.” ⁤He pledged a ⁢extensive investigation into the cause of the crash.The‍ tragedy also drew a swift response from the international community. Rafiqa Taha, a 16-year-old⁢ student who was‍ not at school during the crash, shared her terror upon seeing the​ news. “I was terrified watching videos on TV,” ⁤she said. “My‍ God! ⁢It’s my school.” ​The school, which caters to⁢ approximately⁤ 2,000 students from elementary through high school, is now a site⁣ of ⁤national mourning and a stark reminder of the fragility of life.
