Air India crash Survivor Details miraculous Escape

Viswashkumar, a survivor of the recent Air India plane crash, described his harrowing escape from the wreckage. he and his brother had been in India for several months, and he was returning to his family in london when the tragic accident occurred. The air India plane crash resulted in 241 fatalities.
Shortly after takeoff, Viswashkumar recounted that the aircraft felt as though it stalled mid-air. Moments later, it crashed into a building. He was able to escape through a gap created when his side of the plane landed on the ground floor of a hostel and the door broke open.
“I could see that there was space outside the aircraft, so when my door broke I tried to escape through a little space and I did,” viswashkumar said. He noted that the building wall blocked escape on the opposite side of the plane.”I don’t know how I managed to escape. It was in front of my eyes that the air hostess and others (died),” he added, recalling the horrific scene.
Suffering burns to his left hand, Viswashkumar was transported to a local hospital and is currently recovering. While physically ”doing well,” he remains “psychologically disturbed” by the catastrophic event, according to the hospital’s medical director. The Air India plane crash is under inquiry.
“It’s miracle, everything,” Viswashkumar told DD News, summing up his survival.
His brother in the United Kingdom echoed this sentiment, calling Viswashkumar’s survival “a miracle.” However, the family mourns the loss of another brother who was also on the flight. The Air India plane crash claimed many lives.
Air India reported that the flight carried 230 passengers and 12 crew members. Among the passengers were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, one Canadian national, and seven Portuguese nationals. The Air India plane crash is a tragedy for many families.
