AirAsia Group launched the Give Peace a Chance
discount campaign on April 8, 2026, as part of a broader effort to make international travel more accessible, and affordable. The initiative comes amid ongoing global uncertainty that the airline says continues to reshape how people live, work, and connect.
The campaign is designed to facilitate reconnection and foster understanding by reducing the cost of travel across the group’s extensive network. AirAsia’s co-founder, Tony Fernandes, linked the launch of the initiative to recent developments regarding a ceasefire, emphasizing the role of travel in building bridges between diverse communities.
Peace is ultimately what all of us seek, whether it’s peace between people and communities, or simply peace of mind in our own lives. And travel has a unique way of creating both. It allows people to reconnect, discover new perspectives, and find the space to breathe, reflect and reset. When people meet face to face and see eye to eye, it builds understanding and breaks down differences.

For 25 years, we have made the world smaller by connecting communities, building bridges across borders, and bringing people closer to the moments and people that matter most. Today, that mission carries an even deeper meaning.
Tony Fernandes, Co-founder of AirAsia
Fernandes stated that connection should not be treated as a luxury and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continuing its effort to connect the world.
