Akazawa’s comments followed his return from‌ Washington, D.C., where he ‌concluded the fifth⁣ round of negotiations concerning the Trump management’s tariffs. The ⁤discussions occur ‍as Ishiba and‍ Trump​ may meet during the Group of Seven summit in Canada, ‍scheduled ⁢to begin June 15.
