René Weiler Praises Al-Ahli Club’s Global Popularity
René Weiler, the former coach of Al-Ahli Club, has expressed his admiration for the club’s immense popularity worldwide, stating that he has never witnessed anything similar in his coaching career.
During an analysis studio session on MBC Egypt, discussing the Al-Ahly and Al-Ain UAE match, Weiler emphasized, “It is extremely challenging to find an audience like Al-Ahly’s anywhere in the world.”
Weiler further added, “Throughout my coaching career, I have never encountered a group of fans at the Al-Ahly club with such greatness.”
René Weiler took over coaching duties at Al-Ahli Club in August 2019 and remained in the position until October 2020.
Al-Ahli is set to face Al-Ain of the United Arab Emirates in the Intercontinental Cup tournament at the Cairo International Stadium.
