Kasuma Fofana’s decisive goal in the 76th minute proved to be the difference-maker in a tightly contested match. The win propelled Al Hilal to the top of the group with a perfect nine points, while Mouloudia Algiers finished second with four points.
This victory follows Al Hilal’s remarkable 2-1 triumph over Congolese giants Mazembe in a previous group stage match.
