Al-Riyadh newspaper Asala Nasri… surprised the audience with her 6-year-old musician
Asala Nasri held a live concert at the “Arena” hall in Kuwait yesterday evening. The event attracted a large audience. Maestro Mustafa Helmi led the musical band accompanying Asala. He performed many of his well-known songs, which delighted the audience, who sang along with him.
The concert began with the song “I Miss You.” Asala explained that he chose songs based on emotions and events as a gift for the Kuwaiti audience. He performed barefoot, a tradition in his concerts. Asala introduced “Don’t Believe” with an engaging message, inviting the audience to sing together. He also performed “Sawaha Kalbi,” encouraging audience participation.
A highlight of the concert was when Asala collaborated with a talented 6-year-old kanun player, Aytach Junior, who is well-known in Turkey. Asala praised the child as a “miracle.” They sang together, and Asala supported Aytach by holding his hands during the performance. The audience applauded enthusiastically as the young musician left the stage.
Asala continued the concert with songs like “Sorry,” “Don’t Test,” and “Haniin.” He sang “Qad Al-Horouf” with deep emotion and playfully teased the audience. He dedicated “60 Minutes of Life” to late Egyptian composer Mohamed Rahim.
Before the concert, Asala expressed his excitement about meeting his fans in Kuwait. He noted that he planned surprises, such as performing with the young kanun player and encouraging new talents. Asala began singing at five years old and values nurturing young artists.
He mentioned that he feels happy when young singers choose his songs in talent shows. He finds this rewarding and connects personally with his music, particularly the song “Manush.”
