Hail University has reopened discussions about the University Hospital, aiming to resolve delays. The project will cost 1.2 billion rials and is crucial for the institution.
Dr. Zaid Muhalhal Al-Shamari, the Acting President of the University of Hail, met with Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish, the CEO of the University Hospital Program, during the University Affairs Council meeting. They reviewed the progress of the hospital project and visited other important facilities at the university.
The University Hospital project began in October 2010. It plans to have 600 beds and will offer a variety of medical specialties. These include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynaecology, among others. Despite its initial promise, the project has faced delays that hinder its completion.
Since 2016, the University has managed University Medical Clinics at the Aja Complex for Girls. These clinics serve university employees and provide services in various fields such as General Medicine, Surgery, and Pediatrics. In April 2017, the first phase of the hospital project was completed, marking a step forward in medical care at the university.
As Hail University resumes its focus on the University Hospital, it aims to enhance healthcare services for its community.
