Al-Shabaab Dominates‌ Al-Qadisiya in Saudi Roshan League

Al-Shabaab’s youth football team secured a decisive victory against‌ Al-Qadisiya at the⁢ Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Sports City Stadium on Sunday, in the‍ third round of the Saudi Roshan League.

Historically, the two teams have clashed 16 times since the 2008-2009 ⁣season, with Al-Qadisiyah emerging victorious ​nine‌ times, while Al-Shabaab has won three matches, and four encounters have ended in a draw.

The highest-scoring match between the two teams occurred in the 2017-2018 season, when Al-Shabaab defeated⁢ Al-Qadisiya​ 4-1‌ at the Al-Malaj Stadium, with goals ⁣from Khaled Al-Kaabi, Marcus Pizzelli, Hatan Bahabari, and Nasser Al-Shamrani.

In their most recent encounter in the 2020-2021 season, Al-Qadisiyah triumphed 2-1 ‍over Al-Shabaab in the first round, followed by a 1-1​ draw in the second round.

Prior to the start of⁢ the ⁣round, Al-Qadisiyah held the second position in the Roshan League with six points, trailing behind leaders‌ Al-Hilal, while Al-Shabaab occupied the 11th spot with three points.
