Al-Shabaab Seizes Al-Qadisiya in Stunning 9-Game Winning Streak
Al-Shabaab Dominates Al-Qadisiya in Saudi Roshan League
Al-Shabaab’s youth football team secured a decisive victory against Al-Qadisiya at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Sports City Stadium on Sunday, in the third round of the Saudi Roshan League.
Historically, the two teams have clashed 16 times since the 2008-2009 season, with Al-Qadisiyah emerging victorious nine times, while Al-Shabaab has won three matches, and four encounters have ended in a draw.
The highest-scoring match between the two teams occurred in the 2017-2018 season, when Al-Shabaab defeated Al-Qadisiya 4-1 at the Al-Malaj Stadium, with goals from Khaled Al-Kaabi, Marcus Pizzelli, Hatan Bahabari, and Nasser Al-Shamrani.
In their most recent encounter in the 2020-2021 season, Al-Qadisiyah triumphed 2-1 over Al-Shabaab in the first round, followed by a 1-1 draw in the second round.
Prior to the start of the round, Al-Qadisiyah held the second position in the Roshan League with six points, trailing behind leaders Al-Hilal, while Al-Shabaab occupied the 11th spot with three points.
