An official Zamalek club source revealed the club’s position on the inclusion of Peruvian Andre Carrillo in Mercato this summer, in light of the club’s desire to strengthen the team’s ranks, ahead of the African Super Cup match against Al-Ahly, which is set to take place. Next September 27 in Riyadh.

A source at the club confirmed in an exclusive statement to Al-Watan Sport that Andre Carrillo is already among the names proposed to move to the Zamalek club, but this depends on the idea of the player reducing his financial requests, indicating that there are several other candidate options.

He added: “The Zamalek club’s priority at the moment is to include a foreign striker at the behest of the team’s technical director, Jose Gomez, and the idea of signing Andre Carrillo depends on the marketing of Beníz striker Samson Akinola. Mercato this summer, and his departure from the team.”
Zamalek completed the club’s first summer signing, signing Mahmoud Benteke from French club Saint-Etienne in the current summer transfer window in a bid to strengthen the left-back position in the team.
