Alabama Gymnastics Signs Two New Champions
Alabama Gymnastics has announced the signing of two athletes for its 2025 recruiting class. Jasmine Cawley, a Nastia Liukin Cup champion, and McKenzie Matters, a Level 10 Pennsylvania State Champion, will join the team.
Both gymnasts come from well-respected programs, one coached by former members of the U.S. Gymnastics Women’s National Team. Head coach Ashley Johnston expressed excitement about adding this “dynamic duo” to the team.
“They’re both exceptional gymnasts, but most importantly, they’re exceptional people,” Coach Johnston said. “They will fit well with our culture and help us reach a high level of excellence through their joyful approach.”
Cawley and Matters will start their journey with the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa next fall.
