Alabama Shakes are returning to London for a headline show at Alexandra palace on Friday, July 3rd – almost 10 years since their last performance in the city.This follows the release of their first new song in a decade, ’Another Life’, which leans into 1960s British soul and rock.
The band, consisting of Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell, went on hiatus in 2018. they recently completed a North American tour and are reportedly working on more music for next year, having recorded ‘Another Life’ at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville with Shawn Everett.

Their last London appearance was at BST Hyde Park in 2016, alongside Mumford & Sons, Wolf Alice, and Kurt Vile, following the release of their Grammy-winning album ’Sound & Colour’ in 2015.
During their hiatus, Brittany Howard released two acclaimed solo albums: ‘jaime’ (2019) and ‘What Now’ (2023).
