The Alabama women’s golf team secured its second consecutive tournament victory to open the 2026-27 season on Monday, capturing the team title at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Crimson Tide finished the 54-hole event with a 4-over-par score of 868, shooting rounds of 280, 294, and 294 to edge out second-place Arkansas by eight strokes.

Alabama Wins Second Tournament of the Season

Alabama’s winning performance marked only the second time in program history that the team has claimed victories in its first two tournaments of a season. The Crimson Tide relied on strong individual showings near the top of the leaderboard, paced by Manon Petitcolas and Amely Bochaton.

Petitcolas finished third overall at 5-under-par 211, carding rounds of 69, 72, and 70 to claim her second straight top-five finish to start her collegiate career. Bochaton placed fourth overall at 3-under-par 213 with rounds of 66, 74, and 73, earning her second consecutive top-10 finish. Arkansas golfer Maria Jose Marin won the individual crown at 12-under-par.

Crimson Tide Lineup Results in Arkansas

Several other Alabama players contributed to the team’s eight-stroke victory over tournament host Arkansas, which finished in second place at 12-over-par. Making her first appearance in the Crimson Tide lineup this season, Alice Johansson shot a 6-over-par 222 across rounds of 72, 74, and 76 to tie for ninth place.

Natachanok Tunwannarux matched Johansson’s ninth-place finish, also ending at 6-over-par 222 with cards of 73, 74, and 75, marking her third career top-10 finish for the program. Tiphani Knight rounded out the Alabama lineup in a tie for 26th overall at 15-over-par 231, following rounds of 75, 77, and 79.

Haskins Intercollegiate Schedule in Georgia

The victory also handed Alabama head coach Lydia Lasprilla a historic milestone, as she became the first coach in program history to win her first two tournaments to begin a coaching tenure with the Crimson Tide. Following the win in Fayetteville, Alabama will travel to Columbus, Georgia, to participate in the Haskins Intercollegiate scheduled for October 12-13.
