Vingegaard’s Wife Calls ‍for Team Unity as Pogacar Dominates⁣ Tour de France

Trine Vingegaard Hansen, wife⁣ of Tour⁢ de France contender Jonas Vingegaard, has publicly expressed her ⁣desire for ‍her⁢ husband to receive unwavering team support, drawing a contrast with the clear leadership within Tadej Pogacar’s UAE Team Emirates squad.

The Danish rider’s wife highlighted the importance of⁣ a unified team strategy, suggesting that divided focus on stage wins could detract from vingegaard’s overall ambitions.”I⁤ hope he gets‍ the full⁤ support ‍of the team, rather than there being all sorts ⁤of ⁢different goals,” Trine Vingegaard Hansen stated this month. “If you’re also⁤ aiming for stage‍ wins with other riders, then those resources can’t be used for Jonas. You can only respect how Tadej Pogacar’s team handles it. When he starts a race, there’s there’s no doubt whatsoever about who the leader is. Everyone knows their role. I think that’s super-vital.”

Her comments come as Pogacar continues to assert his dominance in ⁣the race. Despite admitting to a slight summer cold due to fluctuating temperatures and excessive air-conditioning, the slovenian rider⁢ appeared untroubled throughout the recent stages.

In a display ⁢of camaraderie and team spirit, Pogacar was seen actively encouraging his teammate Tim Wellens during the‍ race. “How is ⁢he looking?” Pogacar radioed his team car as Wellens made his progress. “How does Tim look? You should ⁣reply: ‍’He looks fabulous!'” ⁣This interaction underscores the strong internal dynamics within the UAE Team Emirates, where clear roles and⁣ mutual support are evident.

The peloton will ‍observe a rest day on monday, before tackling the 16th stage⁢ on Tuesday. This challenging leg will take riders from Montpelier to the iconic Mont Ventoux, a climb where Pogacar is widely expected to⁣ further solidify his lead and pursue another prestigious stage victory. The contrasting team dynamics and individual performances continue to shape the narrative of this year’s thrilling Tour de France.
