Alcaraz US Open Haircut: Reactions & Reviews

Alcaraz’s Buzz Cut: ⁤A US Open Sideshow Divides Stars

New York, NY – The US Open⁤ is known for ⁤its thrilling matches and ⁤unexpected upsets, but ⁣on Day 2, the drama extended beyond the baseline. All eyes were on Carlos Alcaraz, not just for his powerful ⁢forehand, but for a drastic change in appearance: a freshly buzzed haircut.

The tennis world noticed immediatly. Just days before, during US Open previews,‍ alcaraz sported⁢ his ⁣familiar hairstyle. But when⁢ he stepped onto the practice courts on Monday, the full head of⁢ hair was gone, replaced⁤ by a clean⁤ buzz cut. The transformation quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions.

Even ⁢golf superstar Rory McIlroy⁤ couldn’t resist weighing in. Upon meeting Alcaraz, McIlroy playfully touched the Spaniard’s head,⁤ curious about⁢ the new ‘do.”Why this?” he asked, prompting Alcaraz to explain, ⁤”Just got a haircut that I struggled wiht. I mean I had to start fresh.” McIlroy, ever the⁣ diplomat, offered a supportive ⁢”good look.”

Though, not everyone was a fan. American tennis‍ star Frances Tiafoe,a close friend of Alcaraz, didn’t mince words. After his own first-round victory over Yoshihito Nishioka, Tiafoe made a beeline for Alcaraz, staring at the buzz cut in disbelief. His verdict? “Horrible.”

“Its terrible. It’s definitely terrible. That’s my ‍guy, though,”⁤ Tiafoe joked, adding, “Funny, I looked at him, and I⁣ was like, ‘I guess you’re aerodynamic.'”

Tiafoe,‍ known for his own impeccable grooming, continued his playful critique. “I don’t know who told him to do that, but it’s terrible. From a guy ‍who gets haircuts week in, week out, who prides himself on good haircuts, it’s horrendous,” he said⁢ with a laugh. “But⁤ at the end of the day, it’s Carlos, and that’s my guy. But yeah, he needs to get with me. He needs to get with me for sure.”

While the haircut may be a topic of debate, one⁣ thing is⁢ certain: Alcaraz’s⁢ performance
