Bregman’s Hot Start Continues with Red Sox
BOSTON (AP) — Alex Bregman’s stellar start to the 2025 season continued Friday, April 2, as he extended his hitting streak in a game against the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park.
Bregman, the Boston Red Sox third baseman, wasted no time, singling in his first at-bat against Twins starter Joe Ryan. The hit extended his streak to 12 games.
Bregman Homers Over Green Monster
After Jarren Duran and rafael Devers were retired, Bregman stepped to the plate. After starting the at-bat with a strike, he battled to a 2-2 count. On the seventh pitch, he connected, sending the ball off his bat at 105 mph.
The ball sailed over the Green Monster, traveling a projected 410 feet, giving the Red Sox an early lead.It was Bregman’s eighth home run of the young season.
During his 12-game hitting streak,bregman is batting .400,with 18 hits in 45 at-bats.He has four home runs, five doubles, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
Bregman Adapting Well to Boston
Just over a month into the season, the 31-year-old Bregman is showing he has adapted well to his new team after spending his entire career with the houston Astros, where he won two World Series titles.
