Minor Flood expected to Hit‌ U.S.‍ Coasts Just ⁣Before Holidays

Alexandria, VA ‌-⁣ Brace⁢ yourselves, coastal residents! The Alexandria Port Authority has announced that a minor flood, the last⁤ of 2024, ⁣is expected to hit on December 19th. While the exact timing⁣ could shift ⁤by a day or‍ two ‌depending on weather patterns, the authority predicts the flooding will last for five days.

The minor flood is expected to bring⁢ some ⁤disruptive weather conditions,​ including varying intensity‌ rainfall starting along the northern coast. Residents can also expect low temperatures, strong ‌winds, ‌and rough seas⁤ in the Mediterranean.

“Its still too early to say exactly how this‌ minor flood will impact weather conditions,” said Dr. ⁢Manar Ghanem, a member of the Meteorological Authority’s ⁢Media Center.‌ “The autumn​ season is known for its fluctuations,making long-range predictions ⁢arduous. We’ll continue to monitor‌ weather maps and⁢ satellites for updates.”

Coastal communities ⁤are already preparing for⁢ the storm. States of ‍emergency have ⁣been lifted, ⁣and vehicles are being readied to collect rainwater. Officials are urging residents to avoid parking in areas prone to flooding to prevent damage.

This minor flood is ‍just the beginning. The winter of 2025 is predicted to bring eight more such events,‌ stretching from⁢ January ⁢to March.
