A Celebration of Independence and Federalism
Mexico City, September 16 - Enrique Alfaro Ramirez, Governor of Jalisco, delivered his sixth and final Cry of Independence, emphasizing the importance of division of powers and federalism.
On the balcony of the Government Palace, Alfaro Ramirez spoke about the heroines and heroes of Independence, and then about federalism, the sharing of powers, and the free state of Jalisco.
“Mexicans and Mexicans, today we meet once again to celebrate the conquest of our national freedom and independence. Today we want to celebrate our Motherland together and the pride of being in Jalisco, the pride that slavery was abolished here, in this country, that federalism was forged and we fight every day to defend the Republic.”

A Call to Action for Federalism
“Long live Mexican federalism! Long live the Republic and the division of powers! Long live the free and sovereign state of Jalisco! “Long live Mexico!”
After giving the Cry, Alfaro gave the National Lábaro to the Escort of the Air School and then went out to the balcony again and thanked the people for their support.

According to reports, more than 90 thousand people attended the national holiday in the Plaza de Armas, Plaza Liberación, and Plaza Guadalajara.
The celebration continued with a concert by the famous musical group La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, who delighted the attendees with their traditional banda music.
