Paramount+ UK Orders “Baby Doll” thriller Series

Paramount+ is expanding its U.K. original programming with “Baby Doll,” a new six-part thriller series. The series, based on the novel by Hollie Overton, is produced by Clapperboard Studios and delves into themes of trauma, resilience, and the complexities of family.
Currently in production, “Baby Doll” centers on twin sisters Lily and Abby. Their lives are upended when Lily is abducted by Rick Hansen, a teacher in their quiet English town. After enduring years of captivity, Lily escapes, onyl to find a world that has moved on without her. The series follows Lily, Abby, and their mother, Eve, as they grapple with the aftermath of Lily’s ordeal and the realization that Rick remains a threat.
Alfie Allen and jill Halfpenny star as Rick and Eve, respectively. Tallulah and Delphi Evans portray the roles of lily and Abby.The cast also includes Vikash Bhai, Niamh Walsh, Levi Brown, Victoria Ekanoye, Holly Atkins, and Kiran Krishnakumar.
Executive producers for Clapperboard are Mike Benson and Suzi McIntosh, with Mick Pantaleo producing. david Turpin, Suzanne Cowie, and Nessah muthy adapted the series for the screen. Laura Way and Bindu de stoppani are directing.
