Ali Larter Trades Hollywood for Idaho: ‘Simpler Life’ with Family
Hollywood Star Trades Red Carpets for Mountain Trails: Ali Larter Finds Peace in Idaho
ali Larter, known for her roles in hit films like “Final Destination” and the TV series “Heroes,” has traded the glitz and glamour of Hollywood for the serene beauty of Idaho. The 48-year-old actress, along with her husband, actor Hayes MacArthur, and thier two children, have embraced a simpler life in the “peaceful mountains” of Sun Valley.
What began as a temporary escape from the pandemic lockdowns in Los Angeles has blossomed into a permanent relocation. “It was during COVID and our kids’ schools were shut down,” Larter shared. “We just went for two months. We were like, OK, we’ll go ski.”
The family, initially seeking a break from the confines of city life and remote schooling, found themselves captivated by the natural beauty and tight-knit community of Sun Valley.”We fell in love with the beauty of the mountains and their quiet grandness,” Larter told Rue Magazine.
the move, while unexpected, has proven to be a welcome change for the Larter-MacArthur family. ”We’re like,’Let’s give it a go,’ and we were really, really lucky to find an amazing community there,” Larter saeid. “And we really, really responded to the ethos of that town. It’s a simpler life with really generous people, and there’s accountability when you live in a small town that we really loved raising our children in.”
MacArthur echoed his wife’s sentiments, highlighting the stark contrast to their previous life in Los Angeles.”The industry was at a total standstill and our kids were stuck on screens with remote schooling,” he recalled. “So, after a year, we just packed up the car and bounced.”
Larter’s Instagram feed offers glimpses into their idyllic new life, showcasing breathtaking mountain vistas, family adventures, and a strong sense of community.
