Swedish Influencer Limits Social Media Exposure Amidst Negative Comments

STOCKHOLM (AP) —⁣ Swedish influencer Alice Stenlöf, 28, says she is facing a barrage of negative online‍ comments regarding her same-sex⁤ relationship. In an interview with QX, a Swedish lifestyle publication, Stenlöf revealed the extent of the daily harassment she endures.

“It’s not every day you ⁣can absorb all‍ the negativity people think and feel about you,” Stenlöf told QX.

Stenlöf ⁣rose to prominence after co-hosting ‍the podcast ⁤”If you have said⁢ A, you get to say B” ‍with Bianca Ingrosso, 30.

Currently, Stenlöf is in a relationship with Amani Smith, 25. The influencer stated that she ⁢has decided to limit her boyfriend’s presence on social media due to the negativity.

Stenlöf’s last post featuring Smith was a birthday greeting on Feb.8,marking ⁣Smith’s ‍25th birthday.

Prior to that,on Feb.4,Stenlöf shared a photo of herself and Smith at ⁢the‍ QX Awards,where⁤ they presented the “Song of the Year” award. Stenlöf captioned the‍ photo, noting the emotional meaning of the evening.

Since then, Stenlöf’s social media has featured numerous posts, but none include her boyfriend.

Stenlöf says that years of experience in the public eye have helped her develop resilience.

“I am grateful that ⁢I have had⁢ time to build strength and self-esteem, and acquire tools so I don’t‍ let ⁢it get to me,” she said.

Despite the negativity, Stenlöf emphasizes the importance of openly discussing her sexual orientation and relationship. She hopes her visibility⁣ will‍ encourage others ⁤in similar situations.

“I think those who⁢ take part in my love story maybe dare to be open and honest themselves. If I can influence one person to⁣ dare to date girls as they are curious, then I will contribute to it,” Stenlöf ⁣stated.

The couple recently purchased an apartment⁤ together in Stockholm and envision starting a family in the future.

Stenlöf describes Smith ⁣as “the most stunning⁣ man” she knows and says he brings her immense happiness. She characterizes ⁣their relationship as “luxurious” due to their mutual adoration and close friendship.
