Alisson Becker Injury Update: Liverpool Goalkeeper Ready to Return

Liverpool manager Arne Slots has provided an update on Alisson Becker’s injury, revealing that the Brazilian goalkeeper has returned to training with the team and is ready to play.

“I think he (Alisson) is ready to play. Because he was able to practice with us yesterday. And hopefully he can practice fully again today. So I think it’s one of the options. And we have to practice today first.”

Slots also praised Caoimhin Kelleher, who has been standing in for Alisson during his injury. “Of course I feel good that Alisson is back on the field again. But I also want to emphasize that Caoimhin has been excellent in the two games he has been in goal for us. It is an example of how I have two or three good players in the same position.”

During Alisson’s absence, Kelleher kept a clean sheet against Bournemouth and conceded only one goal in the 5-1 win against West Ham, demonstrating his capabilities as a reliable backup goalkeeper.
