All Aboard for Change: Cabello’s Warning on Electoral Reform – Don’t Miss the Train or You’ll Be Left Behind
Electoral Reform Laws to be Approved This Year, Says Diosdado Cabello
The Minister of the Interior and first vice president of the Psuv, Diosdado Cabello, has announced that the laws on electoral reform will be approved this year. He emphasized that those who fail to adapt to these changes will be left behind.
Cabello also expressed the PSUV’s readiness for the inauguration of Maduro’s third term, stating that no external pressures will hinder the country’s progress. He criticized far-right parties for rejecting the electoral reform, citing their reluctance to participate in the democratic process.
“Those who refuse to participate are deviating from the Constitution. We will strive to align ourselves with the Constitution and fully support the National Assembly’s initiative to review and approve these laws,” Cabello said.
The Minister highlighted the need to revise outdated laws, such as the 1965 political parties law, to reflect the changing times. “The political landscape has evolved, and we must adapt. Many laws require revision to accommodate the new era, but some parties are resistant to change,” he explained.
