‘All American’ Tackles New Season with Fresh Faces and Familiar Favorites
The CW’s hit drama “All American” is gearing up for a major shakeup in its seventh season, welcoming a trio of new recurring stars to the roster. Lauryn Hardy, Terayle Hill, and Sasha Lance are set to join the already announced newcomers Osy Ikhile, Nathaniel McIntyre, and Elijah M. Cooper.
The new additions will be integrated into the lives of returning favorites like Michael Evans Behling,Greta Onieogou,and Bre-Z,who are all set to reprise their roles. Antonio J. Bell and Alexis Chikaeze are also being promoted to series regulars for Season 7.
Hardy will take on the role of Tori, the head cheerleader at Beverly High and a fierce competitor both on and off the field. She’s the first friend KJ (McIntyre) makes at Beverly and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself or fight for what she believes in.
Hill will portray Marqui Edwards, the charming yet complex father of Khalil (Bell). A former gang member who became a father at a young age, Marqui’s relationship with his now-teenage son has become increasingly strained.
Lance will bring to life Breonna Strong, a brilliant and passionate law school professor who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo. Her unique approach to law opens up a new world for Coop (Bre-Z).
This influx of new talent comes on the heels of Daniel Ezra’s departure from the series at the end of Season 6. Ezra, who played the central character Spencer James, exited the show alongside Samantha Logan, whose character Olivia baker married Spencer before their storylines concluded. Both actors are expected to make guest appearances in the upcoming season, with Ezra also slated to direct an episode.
season 7 promises to be a fresh start for “All American,” returning to its roots at Beverly Hills High and South Crenshaw High. The familiar themes of football dreams, rivalries, and teenage angst will be explored through a new generation of characters, while the original cast members navigate the challenges of adulthood.
