Alpine formula 1 Team Targets Competitive Return in 2026
Alpine Formula 1 boss Flavio Briatore expressed confidence that teh team will be competitive in the upcoming 2026 season, during the team’s official launch event. The team conducted an initial test at Silverstone this week, showcasing the new livery on a show car, but did not reveal images of the actual 2026 model.
Briatore stated,”I believe Alpine will really come back in the performance this year.” He further emphasized the team’s accountability, adding, “if the car is bad, it is indeed our fault. We did not have any problems building this car. We had the budget.”
Alpine concluded the 2025 season in last place, a deliberate strategic decision to concentrate all development resources on the 2026 car, designed to meet the new regulations introduced this season. Formula 1 reports this strategic shift.
