Amazon is launching a nationwide GLP-1 weight-loss program through its One Medical primary care clinics and Amazon Pharmacy, aiming to simplify access to popular obesity medications with transparent pricing and integrated care.
The program, announced on April 21, 2026, embeds GLP-1 treatment into routine primary care visits at Amazon One Medical locations across the United States, allowing clinicians to monitor weight loss alongside cardiovascular health, metabolic conditions and overall well-being.
Prescriptions are fulfilled through Amazon Pharmacy, with the company stating that insured patients can access the medications starting at $25 per month, while uninsured patients pay at least $149 per month for oral GLP-1 medications and $299 per month for injectable versions such as Wegovy and Zepbound.
Amazon said the medications are available in all 50 states, with same-day delivery currently offered in nearly 3,000 cities and towns and plans to expand to about 4,500 locations by the end of 2026.
The initiative positions weight management as a long-term chronic condition rather than a one-off prescription, combining virtual and in-person visits, prescription management and pharmacy fulfillment under a single coordinated program.
Tanvi Patel, vice president and general manager of Amazon Pharmacy, said in the company’s press release that the program aims to make it easier for customers to get the treatments their health care providers prescribe and to stay on those medications because they are delivered reliably directly to patients.
GLP-1 drugs are FDA-approved medications used to help lower blood sugar in people with Type 2 diabetes, with many of the same drugs also prescribed for weight loss using different formulations and doses approved for each use.
The program is available at Amazon One Medical’s 200-plus offices in more than 20 U.S. Regions, including major markets across the country.
Amazon’s entry into the GLP-1 market comes amid growing demand for weight-loss medications and increased competition from telehealth and pharmacy companies seeking to streamline access to these treatments.
