Leading up to CES 2026,rumors swirled about the processors AMD would unveil at the show. Surprisingly, only the Ryzen 7 9850X3D was officially announced. There was no sign of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, leading some to wonder if it ever existed – or if mentioning its name three times would summon it, like Beetlejuice. AMD updated its website, creating a page for the 9850X3D, but nothing for the other chip. Despite this, rumors persisted that the 9950X3D2 wasn’t canceled, just delayed. And then despite that, rumors insisted on its existence, the 9950X3D2 wouldn’t be an abandoned project, but postponed. now, the proof has arrived via the EEC, the institution responsible for validating the electrical compliance of products with Eurasian standards.
