Amelia Moneymaker Named MPSF Gymnast of the Week – Third Time This Season | UC Davis Aggies
DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis gymnastics standout Amelia Moneymaker continues to dominate in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), earning her third Gymnast of the Week honor this season. The announcement came after a weekend where Moneymaker delivered a performance that included the second-highest floor score in program history and helped propel the Aggies to a season-best beam score.
Moneymaker’s consistency has been a hallmark of her season. She has now surpassed the 39.000 mark in the all-around a remarkable 22 times in her career. During the recent competition schedule, she achieved scores exceeding 39.000 on both days. Against William & Mary, she secured a victory with a score of 39.075, while at the tri-meet hosted by San Jose State (also featuring Air Force), she posted a 39.150, finishing among the top three competitors.
The highlight of Moneymaker’s weekend came during the dual meet against William & Mary. Her floor routine earned a score of 9.950, a performance that not only tied her career-high but also stands as the second-best floor score in UC Davis gymnastics history. This score is also tied for the third-best in MPSF history. Her performance was crucial in securing the Aggies’ victory in the dual meet, as her score, alongside strong performances from her teammates, allowed UC Davis to win the floor event and ultimately the meet.
At the San Jose State tri-meet, Moneymaker continued to contribute significantly across multiple events. She scored a 9.800 on bars, a 9.850 on beam, and a 9.875 on floor, contributing to her all-around score of 39.150. Notably, her beam score, along with those of her teammates, helped UC Davis achieve a season-high 49.025 on beam, capping off a successful Sunday competition.
This latest honor marks the third time this season Moneymaker has been recognized as MPSF Gymnast of the Week. In 2025, she earned the distinction four times, demonstrating a consistent level of excellence. Her continued success is a key factor in the Aggies’ overall performance and their recent qualification for the NCAA Division I Regionals – a feat achieved for only the second time in program history, and the first since 2014.
UC Davis will face No. 29 Illinois in a first-round dual meet in Seattle on at 2 p.m. A win over Illinois would be a significant step forward for the program.
