American Airlines, INVEX, and Mastercard Launch AAdvantage Credit Cards in Mexico
American Airlines, INVEX Banco, and Mastercard have launched two new co-branded credit cards in Mexico, allowing customers to earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points on everyday purchases. According to PR Newswire, the announcement on September 23, 2026, introduced the INVEX AAdvantage® Platinum and INVEX AAdvantage® World Elite credit cards to the Mexican market.
Card Features and Rewards Structure
The partnership brings together three major companies across travel, financial services, and digital payments. American Airlines operates as the largest U.S. carrier in Mexico, serving 29 destinations with up to 830 weekly flights. INVEX Banco contributes 35 years of financial experience and manages over 1.6 million credit cards in the country, while Mastercard provides its global payment technology and security infrastructure.
According to PR Newswire, the INVEX AAdvantage® Platinum card targets modern travelers and features no annual fee during the first year. Cardholders can earn a welcome bonus of 12,500 AAdvantage® miles after reaching a minimum purchase amount, which is enough for up to a single international flight. The card accumulates 2 AAdvantage® miles per U.S. dollar spent on American Airlines purchases and participating hotels, alongside 1 mile for every two U.S. dollars spent elsewhere. Additional perks include up to six months without interest on American Airlines transactions and six airport VIP lounge accesses annually via LoungeKey.
Targeting the Affluent Segment
The higher-tier INVEX AAdvantage® World Elite card focuses on frequent flyers and marks INVEX Banco’s entry into the affluent card segment.
