Details of the ”Under The Radar For All” Program
The “Under The Radar For All” initiative aims to increase access to performing arts for New Yorkers. The program provides free tickets to 12 different shows featured in the 2026 festival lineup. Tickets are available to New York City residents and can be accessed online.
Mayor Mandani’s Statement on Arts Accessibility
Mayor Mandani unveiled the initiative during a press conference in Brooklyn, stating that affordability extends beyond housing and childcare to include access to “lives of joy, of art, of rest, of expression.” He shared stories from New Yorkers at a ticket giveaway, highlighting the financial challenges many face in accessing cultural experiences. According to the mayor, “When I speak about making this city more affordable, my vision is not limited to the homes that we live in or the childcare we make worldwide; its also a vision where we make it possible for working people to afford lives of joy, of art, of rest, of expression.”
