Americana Restaurants International,a major restaurant operator in⁤ the Middle East,North Africa,and Kazakhstan,is exploring the acquisition of Cravia Inc.,⁣ according to Bloomberg. This move could add Five‍ Guys,Cinnabon,and Seattle’s Best Coffee to Americana’s already extensive portfolio.

Americana Restaurants already manages brands such as KFC, ⁤Pizza‍ Hut, ⁢Hardee’s,⁣ Krispy Kreme,⁢ Wimpy, and Costa Coffee. The⁣ potential acquisition of Cravia from​ Fajr Capital,⁣ its owner since 2016, would further solidify Americana’s ⁣dominance in the region’s quick-service restaurant sector.

Sources familiar wiht the matter, speaking to Bloomberg, indicated that discussions are in preliminary stages.There is ‍no guarantee that​ a ⁣deal will materialize. Neither Americana‌ nor Fajr Capital offered comments on the potential ⁣transaction.

The move‍ to acquire Five Guys aligns with americana’s growth ​strategy. The company reported a 16.2% revenue increase for ⁤the first quarter ‌of 2025, ​compared ‍to the same period last year. This ​growth was fueled by ⁣improved sales and an⁣ expanding store⁤ network.

Americana’s financial results for the first‌ quarter of 2025 also showed an EBITDA of $121.7 million,a 17.4% increase, and a net profit attributable to shareholders of $32.6 ⁤million, up 16.5%‌ year-over-year. The company generated $33.5 million in free cash flow and maintains a strong‍ balance sheet.

Cravia currently operates 78 outlets and employs more than 2,000⁤ people. Besides Five Guys and Cinnabon, Cravia⁣ also⁤ manages brands like Zaatar W Zeit⁣ and Carvel.
