Netflix has officially renewed America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders for a fourth season, with production slated to follow the 2026–27 squad through auditions, training camp, and the full NFL season. According to reporting from Deadline, the upcoming season of the fan-favorite docuseries is scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform in 2027.
Production Team and Returning Leadership for Season 4
The unscripted series will once again be led by Emmy-winning director Greg Whiteley. Production duties remain with One Potato Productions and Boardwalk Pictures in association with Campfire Studios. According to Deadline, senior director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell will return to the studio and the field to guide the newly formed 2026 team through the rigorous tryout process.
“Every season we get a little further past the performance and closer to the person,” Whiteley said, as reported by Deadline. “What excites me is more than just who makes the team — it’s what these women are willing to explore and let viewers see along their journey. That kind of trust takes years and I’m grateful we get another season to tell their stories.”
Global Reach and Prior Season Performance
The renewal follows a strong audience reception for Season 3, which debuted on June 16. Deadline reported that the third installment spent two weeks in the Netflix Global Top 10, reaching the top tier of viewership across 22 countries, including the United States.
“Each new season is another opportunity to showcase the extraordinary talent, dedication and individuality of our team,” Finglass stated, according to Deadline. “We’re proud to continue to share their stories and artistry with audiences, inspiring the next generation of young performers all over the world to dream big and pursue their passions.”
Behind the Scenes and Executive Production
Alongside Whiteley, the creative team for the upcoming season includes episodic co-director Zoe Lyrintzis. Executive producers for the series comprise Whiteley and Adam Leibowitz representing One Potato Productions, Andrew Fried and Dane Lillegard for Boardwalk Pictures, and Ross M. Dinerstein alongside Rebecca Evans for Campfire Studios.
