Amur Region Governor Scholarship Awarded to 294 Students in 2026
A total of 294 students in the Amur Region will receive the governor’s academic scholarship in 2026, marking an increase of 36 recipients compared to the previous year, according to reports from regional media outlets including Amurskaya Pravda and Amur Oblast TV. The financial support program, backed by an allocation of more than five million rubles from the regional budget, provides a payment to each qualifying student who has maintained top marks across all subjects for three consecutive years.
Growth in Amur Region Scholarship Recipients
The regional government launched the incentive program in 2020. Over the past six years, the initiative has recognized a total of 1,852 school students for consistent academic excellence. The complete roster of this year’s recipients is available on the official website of the regional Ministry of Education and Science, according to Amurskaya Pravda.
Regional officials attribute the rising headcount to heightened motivation among local youth. Governor Vasily Orlov noted that the expanding group of scholarship holders demonstrates a clear drive for learning. Видим, что число получателей губернаторской стипендии в Приамурье растет. Это говорит о хорошей мотивации детей к получению знаний, заинтересованности в результате

Broader Financial Incentives for Students

Beyond the primary school awards, the regional Ministry of Education and Science oversees multiple financial support mechanisms for high-achieving youth. School students who win at various stages of the All-Russian Olympiad can receive specialized merit scholarships reaching up to 50,000 rubles, as reported by Amur Oblast TV.
Vocational college students operate under a separate rewards framework. Those maintaining straight-A records receive 12,000 rubles twice a year, provided their two most recent academic semesters are free of lower grades. Students who balance their studies without academic backlogs with profession-specific employment, backed by a strong recommendation from their employer, are eligible for 30,000 rubles twice annually.
Additional targeted funding exists for individuals entering critical local industries. According to Amurskaya Pravda, students employed at enterprises within the military-industrial complex receive an initial lump-sum payment of 10,000 rubles upon hiring, alongside a monthly stipend of 10,000 rubles. After working for six months, these individuals can also qualify for the 30,000-ruble dual work-and-study payout.
