Amy Mays Wins IIDA NY Leadership Award of Excellence

Amy Mays, vice president and East Region director for Interiors at HDR, has received the 2025 Leadership Award of Excellence from the International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter (IIDA NY).The honor, recognizing her meaningful role in interior design, was presented at the annual Leaders Breakfast in Manhattan.
mays’ career reflects a commitment to the interior design profession, emphasizing collaboration and mentorship. At HDR, she leads healthcare design, creating spaces focused on healing and well-being. Her dedication extends to community engagement and industry service.
Within IIDA NY, Mays’ leadership includes a term as chapter president in 2018, president-elect, and co-chair positions in the Healthcare Forum and Volunteer Committee. Currently, she co-chairs the DEX Committee, organizing roundtables that highlight diverse voices in architecture, design, and related fields.
