The Minister of health and Consumption of the⁣ Junta de Andalucía, ‍ Rocío Hernández, has announced that more than ‍160,000 children between six and 59 ⁢months will receive the antigripal (flu)⁢ vaccine this​ year in⁢ Andalusia. ⁣approximately⁤ 70,000 of ​these vaccinations ‌will be administered in schools.

Vaccinations are also available to teachers of children under five years old, pregnant⁣ women, and those‍ living with them. Appointments can be requested through Health⁣ Responds, Clipsalud+, or at local⁣ health centers. Children under two years will receive the injectable vaccine‌ at health centers, while older children are recommended to receive ⁤the intranasal vaccine in schools,⁤ with ​parental consent. Last‌ year,65% of school children ⁣received the vaccine.
