Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor invited Jeffrey Epstein to Buckingham Palace after the convicted sex offender’s release from house arrest, according to newly released documents.
The latest release from the US Department of Justice includes a 2010 email exchange between the financier and the then-prince.
Another email thread from the same year shows Epstein offering to introduce Andrew to a 26-year-old Russian woman, described as “clever” and “lovely.”
In an email exchange on September 29, 2010, Epstein inquired about Andrew’s plans, to which Andrew replied he was having lunch with a Saudi prince and a “secret intelligence firm.” He later emailed Epstein: “Delighted for you to come here to BP. Come with whomever and I’ll be here free from 1600ish to 2000.” BP is believed to refer to Buckingham Palace.
Epstein had been released from house arrest earlier that year, following a guilty plea to child sex offenses. An additional 3 million pages related to the case were released on Friday.
A seperate email exchange in December 2010 reveals Epstein telling Andrew about a female friend he thought the prince would enjoy meeting. Andrew responded that he was unable to meet, as he was in Geneva, Switzerland, but expressed interest in meeting her, and asked what facts Epstein had shared with the woman.
Epstein replied: “She 26, russian, clevere [sic] beautiful, trustworthy.” He added that he had given her Andrew’s email address.
Andrew was stripped of his royal titles in October last year amid ongoing scrutiny of his relationship with Epstein, who died by suicide in prison in 2019 while facing new child sexual abuse charges.
He is also set to move out of the Royal Lodge in Windsor, following his brother, King Charles, initiating a “formal process to remove the style, titles and honours” of Andrew.
The released messages also show Elon Musk had more extensive ties to Epstein than previously known. emails from 2013 indicate the two were making plans for musk to visit Epstein’s island, Little St james.
Additionally, it emerged that Epstein transferred thousands of pounds to Peter mandelson’s husband,Reinaldo Avila da Silva, after his release from prison in 2009,according to the published emails.
Da Silva emailed Epstein on September 7, 2009, approximately two months after Epstein’s release, requesting funding for an osteopathy course and other expenses.
Mandelson stated on Friday: “I was never culpable or complicit in his crimes. Like everyone else, I learned the actual truth about him after his death.” Da Silva has not yet commented.
