Angel has acquired the U.S. Distribution rights to Fing!
, a family film featuring Oscar winner Taika Waititi. According to reporting from Deadline, the rights were acquired from AGC Studios following the film’s debut at the Sundance Film Festival.
The production is currently being positioned for a wide theatrical release in early 2027.
Plot and Casting
The film follows the story of two librarians, Mr. And Mrs. Meek, played by Blake Harrison and Mia Wasikowska. The couple is devoted to their daughter, Myrtle, portrayed by newcomer Iona Bell, but finds themselves facing a challenge when Myrtle demands a creature known as a Fing.
Librarians Mr. And Mrs. Meek, (Harrison and Wasikowska) dote on their daughter, Myrtle (Bell) and will do anything to keep her happy but she always wants more! When Myrtle demands a Fing, her parents embark on a perilous jungle quest, racing to claim the creature before a ruthless animal park owner, The Viscount (Waititi) can seize it for himself.
