Television critic Angela de Jong expressed disappointment and disapproval of Suzan & Freek’s decision to become duo coaches on the rebooted “The Voice of Holland.” “Why are you participating in this program?” she asked, according to reporting from Pauw & De Wit.
The talent show, plagued by controversy, returns to Dutch television tonight after a three-year hiatus. De Jong,known for her critical television reviews in AD,stated she has “absolutely no interest” in watching given the unresolved issues surrounding the previous scandal.

During a discussion on pauw & De Wit, Jan Slagter challenged de Jong’s strong stance, suggesting her criticism also extends to Suzan & Freek. He implied that by refusing to watch, she is questioning their involvement.
