Roch Angers, Retired Laval university Professor, Dies at 90
QUEBEC CITY, Quebec – Roch Angers, a retired professor and researcher of metallurgy at Laval University, died Dec.11, 2024, at the CHSLD Côté Jardins. He was 90.
Angers, a native of Jonquière, Quebec, passed away surrounded by family and “in love,” according to a family statement. He was married to Josette Tremblay.
Funeral Services
A visitation will be held Saturday,May 10,2025,from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Saint-Charles Funeral Center, located at 1420 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard, Quebec City, Quebec, G1N 3Y6. A liturgy of the word will follow at the same location at 11 a.m. Burial of ashes will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Saint-Charles Cemetery.
Family
Besides his wife, Josette tremblay, Angers is survived by his daughter Nathalie, and his son Stéphan (the late Michele Williams, natali Mazzei); grandchildren Eliana and Damari Angers; brothers Claude (Louise Béland) and Gilles; niece Mireille Angers (Mathieu Bolduc) and their children, Olivier and Jérôme bolduc; sister-in-law Francine Tremblay (André Côté); niece and goddaughter Karine Côté and her little-niece Cassandra Leblanc; Petit-Cousin Jean-François Corriveau and his children, Louis and Sophie Corriveau, as well as their mother Lucie Forget, and also cousins and friends.
