Angham Pays Tribute to Late Composer Riyad Al-Hamshari
Egyptian star Angham honored the late composer Riyad Al-Hamshari during her concert in Jeddah, held at the Ebadi Al-Jawhar Theater. The event was attended by a large audience, including prominent poets and composers from across the Arab world.
Angham shared a heartfelt message about Al-Hamshari, saying, “There is a very great composer who, although I worked with him for a short time, left me with many achievements and successes in my history. I worked with him to fulfill a dream of mine since I was a child. I saw him, and I’d say, ’I’m gonna be big’ and he’d sing, I’ve worked with him, check me out. You didn’t bring my CV, whether you like it or not, and he told you, ‘The heart of a successful person is a great success.’ To him today, ‘Send me a look.'”
Angham began her performance by thanking the General Entertainment Authority and Punchmark Company, led by Councilor Turki Al-Sheikh, for hosting the event. She expressed her gratitude, stating, “Your presence is a real achievement for any artist. I thank Saudi Arabia, Ebadi Al-Zawahar Theater, and the Authority. The day I sing my new album, and Saudi Arabia is in my heart and in the hearts of all my colleagues. I also thank Ustad Hani Farhat.”
