updated May 25, 2025
The Annabelle doll, inspiration for “The Conjuring” films, is very real and resides at the Warrens’ Occult Museum in Connecticut. Despite 2025 rumors of the haunted doll’s disappearance, paranormal investigator Dan Rivera confirmed Annabelle’s presence, dispelling widespread social media claims.
Unlike her on-screen depiction, the real Annabelle is a Raggedy Ann doll. In the 1970s, Ed and Lorraine Warren, renowned paranormal investigators, declared the doll demonically possessed after a student nurse reported strange occurrences. The Warrens then secured Annabelle in a glass case within their museum.
The rumors of Annabelle’s disappearance spread rapidly online in May 2025. However, Rivera’s video from inside the Warrens’ Occult museum showed the doll safely enclosed in its display case, effectively debunking the claims. A Facebook user sharing Rivera’s clip noted the doll was “NOT lost” and still at the museum.
“I just wanna show you guys that Annabelle in the Warrens’ Occult Museum, and let’s check,” Dan Rivera, Paranormal Investigator said.
