NEW YORK — Anne burrell, the TV chef known for coaching culinary novices on “Worst Cooks in America,” died Tuesday at her home in New York. She was 55.
The Food Network, where Burrell’s two-decade television career began with “Iron Chef America,” confirmed her death. The cause of death was not immediately known, and medical examiners are planning an autopsy.
Police were called to her residence before 8 a.m. Tuesday and found her unresponsive.She was pronounced dead soon after. While the police department didn’t release her name, records indicate it was Burrell’s address.
Burrell was recently on TV screens.
