Anomaly: A New Extraction Shooter for VR

Anomaly is a new extraction shooter game. It is developed by Greensky Games, known for Swarm and Swarm 2. The game will launch on Meta Quest in early December.

Set in 2050, Anomaly takes place in a desolate city. Players will explore three distinct levels. They must fight against rival squads and monsters. The goal is to claim and extract a rare Artifact.

Players can choose to play solo or team up with friends in groups of two or three. The game follows common extraction shooter rules. Players must eliminate rivals, battle AI bots, collect gear, and escape alive. If players die, they lose everything.

Peter Le Bek, Founder of Greensky Games, stated that Anomaly draws inspiration from Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown. He emphasized that Anomaly focuses on atmosphere and the excitement of escaping. The game is designed for VR, making each match feel intense.

A Closed Beta is currently available. Interested players can sign up here. Anomaly will be available on the Meta Quest Store in early December.
